Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification

ABOUT THE COURSE

Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification is the project management credential of choice world-wide. The purpose and goal of this program is to develop, maintain, evaluate, promote and administer a rigorous, examination-based, professional certification program of the highest calibre. The PMP can also provide a significant advantage when it comes to salary and earning potential. Among survey respondents to PMI’s Earning Power Salary Survey, those with a PMP certification garner a higher salary (20% higher on average) than those without a PMP certification.*

Having the Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification, Employers benefit as well. When more than one-third of their project managers are PMP-certified, organisations complete more of their projects on time, on budget while also meeting the original project goals.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

This course helps you improve critical thinking and communication skills, as well as practice documenting data and coding project deliverables. Feedback received will help you make modifications and improve your project proposal based on what you’ve learned.

The course focuses on understanding the processes of PMBOK 7, which is the theme of the final exam. The assessment includes a real-life project that involves various steps, such as initiation, design, construction, and delivery. Each step requires collaboration from experts in different disciplines, such as project management, finance, IT, marketing, and human resources. The goal of this unit in the PMP program is to develop the necessary competencies to coordinate project dynamics and adapt to changing roles. The skills you gain can be transferred to other job roles.
